This is on behalf of Our player Jamie’s fiancée, Amy, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in March 2021.
MS is a condition affecting the brain and spinal cord, where nerve coatings can become damaged and cause many different types of symptoms, including mobility problems, fatigue, numbness, vision, balance, memory/thinking & more.
MS is among the most common causes of disability in younger adults and more than 130,000 people in the UK have it, affecting nearly three times as many women as men.
There is no cure but early diagnosis and treatment, which Amy fortunately has had, is crucial. As well as offering vital support, MS Society funds research into treatments it hopes will be able to stop the progression of MS and even repair the damage.
